Chita Rivera will headline Carnegie Hall for the first time on Nov. 7, and Steven Van Zandt has joined the supporting cast. The song-and-dance show, titled “Chita: Nowadays,” will also feature Alan Cumming, Andy Karl, Javier Muñoz, Brandon Victor Dixon and the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus.

Rivera, 83, a Kennedy Center honoree and two-time Tony winner, is “an absolute living legend and I’m honored that she asked me to perform with her,” said the E Street Band member in a press release.

Van Zandt is also performing at Indigo at the O2 in London, Oct. 29; it’s his first headlining date in London in more than 25 years.

His backing band for this show is being called the Disciples of Soul, though it won’t be the same group as his ’80s Disciples of Soul. He described it on Twitter as “All new guys except for (saxophonist) Eddie Manion. And girl singers.”
