Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, whose Washington Post reporting helped make the Watergate scandal happen, will make a joint appearance at NJPAC in Newark, Oct. 26. Tickets go on sale April 7 at 10 a.m., with pre-sales beginning April 4 at 10 a.m.; visit ticketmaster.com.

The evening of conversation is billed as honoring the 50th anniversary of “All the President’s Men,” their book about their Watergate reporting that came out in 1974 and was made into a 1976 movie co-starring Robert Redford as Woodward, and Dustin Hoffman as Bernstein. According to the NJPAC website, this event “will be more than a look back — it’s a look ahead. What lessons did America learn (and forget) from Watergate, and what parallels do we see playing out in the headlines today?”

Both men are still writing. Woodward’s last book, released in January, was “The Trump Tapes: Bob Woodward’s Twenty Interviews with President Donald Trump.” Bernstein’s was his 2022 memoir, “Chasing History: A Kid in the Newsroom.”
