Porno for Pyros will perform in Montclair in March.
Porno for Pyros will release its first new music since the ’90s, a single titled “Agua,” Nov. 16, and has announced a reunion tour that will double as a farewell tour.
The band posted on Facebook: “At long last, the final farewell 🖤 It will be a blaze of glory, one magnificent ball of fire. This is the final chapter for all the weirdos and unsung heroes. We can’t wait to share these final performances with you. Let’s give it everything we’ve got!”
The tour — which is titled Horns, Thorns, en Halos — will feature three of the band’s co-founders: singer Perry Farrell, drummer Stephen Perkins and guitarist Peter DiStefano. (Farrell and Perkins also play together in Jane’s Addiction.) Original bassist Martyn LeNoble plays on “Agua” but will not be on the tour; his replacement has not been announced.
Dates will include the Wellmont Theater in Montclair, March 10. Tickets go on sale Nov. 17 at 10 a.m., with pre-sales having started already; visit ticketmaster.com.
Other venues will include The Parx Casino in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, March 2; The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York, March 7; and The Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan, March 10.
