Griffin House will perform in Ocean Grove, Dec. 21.

Split Level Concerts — which began as a house concert series in 2000 and later brought shows to New Jersey venues including The Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway and the JCC of Central New Jersey in Scotch Plains — will begin presenting singer-songwriter and Americana shows at the 450-capacity Palaia Theater at The Jersey Shore Arts Center in Ocean Grove, this fall. The initial schedule includes one show per month, through April.

Three shows — featuring Steve Forbert on Oct. 19, Brian Dunne on Nov. 16 and Griffin House on Dec. 21 — will go on sale April 8 at 8 a.m. Dunne has, in recent years, been performing as part of the group Fantastic Cat in addition to continuing his solo career.

Five more concerts are scheduled to go on sale on July 15, at 8 a.m.: Jill Sobule, Jan. 25; Maia Sharp and Antje Duvekot (co-billed), Feb. 22; Michael McDermott, March 22; and Rod Picott and Anya Hinkle (co-billed), April 26.
