The Warner movie theater in Ridgewood, which closed in January after operating for more than 91 years, could reopen as a performing arts venue. The Village of Ridgewood has shared, on Facebook, photos of the inside of the theater with the message, “Bow Tie Partners, owners of the former Warner Theatre in Ridgewood, removed the partitions within the space and preserved the original architectural and decorative details of the building, with the objective of transforming it into live performing arts venue. Stay tuned!”

The Village also has shared a video of mayor Paul Vagianos inside the partition-less theater, which you can watch below.

“It is beautiful, it is huge, and you can hear the echo in my voice: That’s how big it is,” Vagianos says.

The theater was operating as a four-screen multiplex at the time of its closing.

When the closing was announced in January, Bow Tie Parners owner Ben Moss said in a press release that “We are very much looking forward to remaining a part of the vibrant downtown Ridgewood business community and look forward to announcing our future plans when we have finished our analysis of alternative uses.”
