Kenny Rogers, Beach Boys, Garrison Keillor among Ocean Grove performers this summer

It is very likely the longest running summer entertainment series in New Jersey. The 146th summer season in Ocean Grove — featuring pop, rock, country and classical music, as well as a show by “Prairie Home Companion” host Garrion Keillor — begins one month from today and last through Sept. 12, with tickets going on sale May 1; visit oceangrove.org for information.

Here is the schedule. All shows are at the Great Auditorium and begin at 8 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

May 23: Atlantic Wind Ensemble, conducted by Harry Eichhorn. Patriotic tunes, American classics and a salute to the Armed Forces for Memorial Day. Free will donation.
June 27: Jay Siegel’s Tokens, The Chantels, Cleveland Stills & The Dubs, Vito Picone & The Elegants. $25 or $30.
July 2: Imperial Brass with Phil Smith. $16.
July 4: Ocean Grove Summer Band, conducted by Harry Eichhorn. Marches, show tunes and patriotic fare. Free will donation.
July 9: Pianist Yun-Chin Zhou. $16.
July 11: Oh, What A Night! Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons tribute. $25 or $30.
July 12: 61st annual Choir Festival.
July 16: Clarinet and piano duo Maksim Shtrykov and Misuzu Tanaka. $16.
July 18: Kenny Rogers, $50 to $65.
July 23: The Solisti Ensemble. $16.
July 24: Steven Curtis Chapman. $20 or $35.
July 30: Gordon Turk and the Festival Orchestra, conducted by Jason Tramm. $16.
Aug. 1: Garrison Keillor – America the Beautiful 41st Anniversary Tour. $50 to $65.
Aug. 8: Paul Anka. $45 to $60.

Aug. 15: “Four Girls Four,” starring Andrea McArdle, Maureen McGovern, Randy Graff and Faith Prince. $35 or $45.
Aug. 22: The Beach Boys. $45 to $60.
Aug. 23: Great Auditorium Choir, conducted by Jason Tramm. Sacred Masterworks: “Grace and Peace.”
Aug. 29: Felix Cavaliere’s Rascals, The Lovin’ Spoonful. $40 to $50.
Sept. 5: Gene Chandler, The Crystals, Lenny Coco & The Chimes, Bill Haley Jr. & The Comets. $25 or $30.
Sept. 12: Orchestra of St. Peter by the Sea, conducted by Father Alphonse Stephenson. Patriotic anthems, show tunes and operatic selections. $20 or $25.

There will also be free organ recitals on the Great Auditorium’s pipe organ every Wednesday and Saturday from July 1 to Sept. 5, with Gordon Turk and guest organists including Isabelle Demers (July 8), Christopher Houlihan (July 15) and Christopher Creaghan (Aug. 19).

A pass for the five shows in the “Summer Stars” classical series (July 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30) is $75.
