Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band performed in Madrid, June 12.
Bruce Springsteen released his upbeat song “Frankie Fell in Love” on his High Hopes album in early 2014 and has played it with the E Street Band only five times since then. (There have also been five non-E Street performances of it.) The first four times with the E Street Band were all in 2014. The fifth time came on June 12 of this year, at the first of their three concerts at the Cívitas Metropolitano stadium in Madrid. You can watch a video of it below.
They also covered John Fogerty’s “Rockin’ All Over the World” for the first time since 2016. You can watch a video of that below, as well.
Other notable songs in the setlist included “If I Was the Priest,” “Seeds” (see video below) and “Darkness on the Edge of Town.”
This was Springsteen’s first E Street Band show since May 22 in Sunderland, England. Shows scheduled for Marseille, Prague and Milan were postponed due to Springsteen’s vocal problems.
