The Delsea-Drive-In Theatre in Vineland, which usually only shows films on weekends, will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its reopening with special Tuesday night screenings on July 23. Starting at 8:40 p.m., “Shrek 2” and then “Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events” will be shown on one screen, while “The Bourne Supremacy” and then “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” will be shown on the other one.
All four films were originally released in 2004, the year the theater reopened.

The theater posted on Facebook: “We are proud to be New Jersey’s only authentic drive-in and honored to be the same state where the drive-in experience started. We’ve come so far in the past 20 years, and the open & nighttime sky is the limit for where we will go next! Join us as we pay homage to our opening night, as we play some of the original movies to grace our screen all those years ago!! This is a one night only event, and as always, ‘it’s a nice night for a drive-in!’ ”

The venue originally opened in 1949 but was dormant from 1987 to 2004.
The films to be shown on July 20-21 are “Despicable Me 4” and “Inside Out 2,” on one screen, and “Twisters” and “The Bikeriders” on the other.
