Little Stevie Van Zandt’s syndicated “Underground Garage” radio show will present an after-party for the Sept. 14-15 Sea.Hear.Now festival, Sept. 15 from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Asbury Lanes. In a press release, Van Zandt — who will perform on the main Sea.Hear.Now stage that day, with Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, from approximately 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. — predicted it will be “the after party to end all after parties!”
Performers at the show, which is titled “Asbury Park a Go-Go!,” will include The Chesterfield Kings, Bobby Mahoney, Wyldlife, The Shang Hi Los and Joy Buzzer. Tickets are available at asburylanes.com.
The Chesterfield Kings — who are from Rochester, New York — recently released a single, “Electrified,” that was co-written and co-produced by Van Zandt. “It’s about the day Dylan went electric in 1965 at the Newport Folk Festival which changed music forever,” Chesterfield Kings frontman Andy Babiuk said in a press release. You can listen to it below.
Mahoney, who is based in New Jersey, recently released an album, Another Deadbeat Summer, on Van Zandt’s Wicked Cool record label.
