This year’s Montclair Film Festival is scheduled for Oct. 18-27.

Ina Garten, cookbook author and host of the television shows “Barefoot Contessa” and “Be My Guest,” will be interviewed by Stephen Colbert as part of the Montclair Film Festival’s Storyteller Series, Oct. 20 at noon at The Wellmont Theater. Tickets will include a copy of her new memoir, “Be Ready When the Luck Happens.”

Ralph Fiennes stars in “Conclave.”

It has also been announced that director Edward Berger, whose previous films include the Oscar-winning “All Quiet on the Western Front,” will attend the festival’s opening night screening of his “Conclave,” Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. at The Wellmont Theater. He also will participate in a post-screening question-and-answer session.

The “Conclave” screening, a Colbert-moderated discussion with “The Piano Lesson” director/co-writer Malcolm Washington and co-star John David Washington, and some other festival events were previously announced.

The festival is scheduled for Oct. 18-27. Tickets will go on sale Sept. 30 at 10 a.m. for Montclair Film members, and Oct. 4 at 10 a.m. for the general public.

The festival’s entire schedule is currently available at montclairfilm.org.

Newly announced films to be shown at the festival include works by acclaimed directors such as Pedro Almodóvar (“The Room Next Door”), Steve McQueen (“Blitz”) and Mike Leigh (“Hard Truths”). There will also be conversations on topics such as “Hollywood Awards Season: Who Wins and Why It Matters” and “Artists, Audiences & Artificial Intelligence.”

Here are trailers for “The Room Next Door,” “Blitz” and “Hard Truths.”
