Renee Maskin will perform at the Spring 2025 New Jersey Film Festival, Feb. 21.

New Jersey-based singer-songwriter Renee Maskin, formerly of the band Lowlight, will present an audio-visual concert on Feb. 21, as part of Spring 2025 New Jersey Film Festival. The show will take place at Voorhees Hall at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, and tickets will on sale Nov. 14; click HERE.

For the last year and a half, the festival has been making audio-visual concerts a regular part of its offerings, starting with shows by Tim Motzer in September 2023 and Marissa Nadler and Jim Haynes in June and October, respectively, of this year.

“We are inviting musicians whose work I really admire and whose work I think is also very cinematic,” said festival director Al Nigrin on the festival’s website.

“Ascension From the Disco Inferno” — a 12-minute film by Nigrin and Anita La Belle, described as “an experimental film that focuses on climate change” — will screen prior to the concert.

The Spring 2025 New Jersey Film Festival will last from Jan. 24 to Feb. 23. For an overview of all festival offerings, click HERE.
