Seven of the artists have been confirmed for the main concert of the 2025 Light of Day WinterFest, taking place on Jan. 18 at The Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank. Brian Fallon (of The Gaslight Anthem), John Rzeznik (of Goo Goo Dolls), Brian Baker (of Bad Religion) and Pete Steinkopf (of The Bouncing Souls) will join festival mainstays Dramarama, Willie Nile and Joe Grushecky & the Houserockers, and others to be named later.
Tickets for this show, and various combo packages, will go on sale Nov. 15 at 10 a.m., with pre-sales beginning Nov. 12 at 10 a.m., through ticketmaster.com.
Also, the Fleetwood Mac tribute band Tusk will perform at a WinterFest show at the Basie, Jan. 24. Tickets are already on sale through ticketmaster.com.
Other shows will take place at various Asbury Park venues (Jan. 16-19) as well as The Outpost in the Burbs in Montclair (Jan. 25) and City Winery in New York.
Proceeds from all events will go to the fight against Parkinson’s disease and related illnesses ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) and PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy). Light of Day has raised about $6.5 million for this cause, in its first 25 years.
Musicians who have participated in various Light of Day events over the years have included Bruce Springsteen, Southside Johnny, Darlene Love, Gary U.S. Bonds, The Smithereens, Max Weinberg, LaBamba’s Big Band, Jesse Malin, Jakob Dylan, Lucinda Williams, Suzanne Vega, Jake Clemons, Garland Jeffreys and David Bryan.
