Elvis Costello and Steve Nieve have announced a 15-date tour that will include shows at The Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank, Feb. 21, and The Wellmont Theater in Montclair, Feb. 24. Tickets will go on sale Nov. 22 at 10 a.m., with pre-sales beginning Nov. 21 at 10 a.m.; click HERE for Red Bank, HERE for Montclair.
Other stops in the Northeast will include The State Theatre Center for the Arts in Easton, Pennsylvania, Feb. 19; and The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York, Feb. 27.
Nieve was the keyboard player for Costello’s band The Attractions, beginning in the ’70s, and is now a member of Costello’s band The Imposters. According to his website, he has released nine solo albums and appeared onstage or on recordings with Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, David Bowie, Smokey Robinson, Bruce Springsteen, Lou Reed, Bono, Sting, Squeeze, Burt Bacharach, St. Vincent, Laurie Anderson and many others.
Costello’s latest release — the six-CD boxed set, King of America & Other Realms — includes a new remaster of his 1986 King of America album plus demos, outtakes, live recordings, new recordings and more.
