The Christian McBride Big Band and McBride’s groups Inside Straight and Ursa Major will be featured, along with McBride’s wife, singer Melissa Walker, and guests such as José James, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Angelique Kidjo, Chris Potter, Sullivan Fortner, Benny Green, Greg Hutchinson, Christian Sands, Warren Wolf and comedians Alonzo Bodden and George Wallace.
In addition to the musical performances, the musicians will be featured in interviews, panel discussions, instrument seminars, tutorials and more, and McBride will tape episodes of his SiriusXM satellite radio show, “The Lowdown: Conversations with Christian.”
McBride said on social media: “I am gathering many of the musicians who have been a part of my life for years for seven days and seven nights of amazing music, camaraderie and joy. Enter my world and enjoy a funky good time.”
