Last year, Tierney’s Tavern in Montclair presented a music festival to celebrate its 80th anniversary. This year, it’s presenting another one … well, just because the first one went so well that it’s now an annual event.
The festival will take place all day Saturday on three stages — taking advantage of the venue’s large parking lot, one of them will be outside — and emphasize original Jersey-based rock bands, including The Defending Champions, The Karyn Kuhl Band, the Porchistas, Thomas Wesley Stern, Accidental Seabirds, Bone & Marrow and The One and Nines. There will also be food and beer trucks, children’s activities (including face painting), a dunk tank benefitting the Montclair Ambulance Unit, and an “instrument petting zoo” presented by the Montclair branch of the School of Rock.
Door open at 11 a.m., and the event is all ages until 8 p.m. (21 and over, after that).
There will be no admission charge. Visit tierneystavern.com for information.
