There will be no shortage of star power at fourth annual TD James Moody Jazz Festival, with Tony Bennett, Dianne Reeves, Bruce Hornsby, Sharon Jones and many others performing. The fest takes place Nov. 7-15 at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and other Newark venues.

Events will include a “One on One” evening of music and conversation with Hornsby and bassist Christian McBride, who is NJPAC’s jazz adviser; a tribute to Miles Davis’ classic Birth of the Cool album organized by pianist Bill Charlap; and a “Real Sinatra Songbook” concert that is part of NJPAC’s ongoing “Sinatra Centennial” series.

“The beauty of the annual TD James Moody Jazz Festival is that every year we get to reinvent ourselves,” said NJPAC president and CEO John Schreiber, in a press release. “The foundation of the festival is the spirit, heart and soul of James Moody, a brilliant player (and singer) whose humanity shone in every note he played.”
