I’m not sure how they feel about being second-billed to mobile mini-restaurants, but Godsmack, Stone Temple Pilots, Slash and Skid Row will be among the hard-rock artists appearing at the Food Truck & Rock Carnival taking place at Oak Ridge Park in Clark, Sept. 18-20. There will be no admission charge for the food trucks and the carnival, but the concert area will be ticketed; for information, visit therockcarnival.com.

Slash will perform with Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators, and Stone Temple Pilots will be fronted by Chester Bennington of Linkin Park (not the STP’s original singer, Scott Weiland). Other artists on the bill will include Puddle of Mudd, Faster Pussycat, Kix, Skillet, Lisa Ford, L.A. Guns and Slaughter, plus tribute bands playing the music of Rage Against the Machine, Journey, Tool, Ozzy Osbourne and others. More acts are expected to be added in the months to come.

More than 40 food trucks will be on hand, as well as a craft beer village, amusement park rides, professional wrestling, a BMX Stunt Show and more.

Some may remember Oak Ridge Park as one of the sites of the now-defunct Union County MusicFest, which began Nomahegan Park in Cranford before moving to Oak Ridge Park.
