The third annual North to Shore Festival — taking place in Newark, Asbury Park and Atlantic City from June 14 to June 29 — will include the 2025 edition of Hot 97’s annual hip-hop extravaganza, Summer Jam, as well as L.L. Cool’s Rock the Bells festival. Both will take place at The Prudential Center in Newark, with lineups TBA, it was announced at a March 4 press conference at The New Jersey Performing Arts Center.
Speakers at the press conference included Gov. Murphy, First Lady Tammy Murphy, Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, Asbury Park Mayor John Moor, NJPAC president and CEO John Schreiber, and others. The Murphys came up with the idea for the festival, which is produced by NJPAC.
At the press conference, Schreiber called it “the state’s biggest and most comprehensive summer arts festival: a celebration loaded with world renown headliners and uniquely talented local heroes. A festival that will again deliver hundreds of events that reflect the excellence and diversity that our state is famous for.”
There will also be some Montclair and Red Bank events, in addition to the ones in the other three cities.
A portion of all ticket sales will benefit Growing Healthy Pantries — a partnership between Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, Community FoodBank of New Jersey, FoodBank of South Jersey, Fulfill, Mercer Street Friends, Norwescap and Feeding America that addresses food security statewide.
Here is the schedule. Some shows are on sale already, others will go on sale March 7, and some (including most of the Atlantic City offerings) will be announced at a later date. For information and updates, visit northtoshore.com.
