The Loop Lounge, a long-running rock club that has been closed since May 2014, may be reopening on Halloween. A billboard spotted on Broad Street in Bloomfield says that the club, located on Broadway in Passaic, is coming back on Halloween. A message posted on the club’s Facebook page on Oct. 19 put out the call for bartenders, bar backs, security, DJs and other personally to send resumes to loopjobs@gmail.com. And the club recently changed its Facebook cover photo to an image of children trick-or-treating.
No other information is available, though, on what the club may or may not be doing on that night.
Meanwhile, the club’s web site, thelooplounge.com, only says “Coming Soon” on its home page.
OCT. 31 UPDATE: The reopening won’t happen on Halloween night after all. The club has posted on its Facebook page: “Hey Everyone! It looks like we aren’t going to be open this weekend. We still need to fine tune a couple things and rushing the opening really isn’t an option. Keep tuned to our Facebook page and we’ll keep you In the Loop! See everyone soon!!!”
