DAVID BROZA

Israeli musician David Broza will attend a screening tonight (Oct. 28) of “East Jerusalem West Jerusalem” — a film that documents his recording project for Israeli, Palestinian and American musicians, under the direction of Steve Earle — at the opening of the 16th annual Rutgers Jewish Film Festival at the Nicholas Music Center at Rutgers University in New Brunswick. He will also perform some music and participate in a Q&A session after the screening.

Check out the trailer for the film, below.

Though born in Haifa and now residing in Tel Aviv, Broza lived in Cresskill from 1984 to 2001. He released music from the sessions documented in the movie (which took place in East Jerusalem) on his 2014 album, East Jerusalem West Jerusalem.
