Edgar Winter brings his band to Hackettstown, March 18, for the Centenary Blues Bash.

Legendary bluesman Johnny Winter, who died in 2014, performed at the Centenary Blues Bash in 2013. And his brother Edgar Winter, who headlines the seventh annual edition of the festival this year, will include a tribute to Johnny in his set, March 18.

The two often played together, particularly early in their respective careers, and released a concert album, Together: Edgar Winter and Johnny Winter Live, in 1976. Edgar, who plays keyboards as well as guitar, saxophones and percussion, and sings, had his biggest commercial successes in the mid-’70s as well, with Top 40 singles “Frankenstein,” “Free Ride” and “River’s Risin’.”

The 7:30 p.m. show, at the Sitnik Theater at the Lackland Center in Hackettstown, will also feature The Bob Lanza Band, The Red Dirt Revelators, and Jenny Cat.

NJArts.net is giving away a pair of tickets to the show; for information, visit NJArts.net/ticket-giveaways.

The Blues Bash will also feature shows at Marley’s Gotham Grill in Hackettstown, March 18 at 4 p.m. (Mike Tichy and Dan Fadel); March 19 at 4 p.m. (Bernie Drury, Don Kincaid and Pierre Marceau) and March 19 at 10 p.m. (Andy Goessling and Bill Kelly, Slackjaw). However, the March 19 concert at the Sitnik Theater, which had been scheduled to feature Kim Simmonds and Savoy Brown, has been cancelled due to illness.
