Don Cheadle, who plays Miles Davis in the movie “Miles Ahead,” will participate in the Asbury Park Music in Film Festival.
Don Cheadle’s movie about Miles Davis, “Miles Ahead,” will open in New York and Los Angeles on April 1. And on April 8, the actor — who starred as Davis in the movie, as well as directing, co-producing and co-writing it — will take part in a Q&A session about it after its debut New Jersey screening at the Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park.
The event will be part of the second annual Asbury Park Music in Film Festival. Other festival attractions will include a screening of finds from the Bob Dylan archives; a “sneak peek” at an upcoming documentary about Asbury Park’s legendary Upstage Club; and concerts featuring the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers, Colin Hay, The Bobby Bandiera Band and others.
