Bobby Bandiera will sing Roy Orbison songs at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, Sept. 9.

As Bobby Bandiera’s fans know, he can sound uncannily like Roy Orbison when singing an Orbison song. His Jersey Shore Rock ‘n’ Soul Revue show at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, April 23, was originally planned to be a Orbison tribute, but that was changed after David Bowie died in January, and the show became a Bowie tribute.

Bandiera’s next Jersey Shore Rock ‘n’ Soul Revue show, though, will pay tribute to Orbison. It’s scheduled for Sept. 9, and tickets, priced from $29 to $99, will go on sale June 10 at noon. Visit thebasie.org.

Bandiera, whose many credits include stints in Southside Johnny’s Asbury Jukes and Bon Jovi’s touring band, has been presenting Jersey Shore Rock ‘n’ Soul Revue shows at the Basie and other venues since 2005.

Below is a video of him singing Orbison’s 1964 hit, “Oh, Pretty Woman,” at Tim McLoone’s Supper Club in Asbury Park, last year.
