WNTI-FM at Centenary University in Hackettstown underwent a major trauma last year, with the sale of its license to WXPN-FM and its move to an Internet-only format at wnti.org. But the annual WNTI Stage festival will take place as usual, July 15-17 at the Lions Club Pavilion in Columbia (Warren County).
This is the fifth year for the festival, which features two music stages as well as food and crafts vendors. The lineup, which is as eclectic as the station’s programming, includes the masked instrumental surf group Los Straitjackets, politically charged singer-songwriter Garland Jeffreys, neo-vaudevillian comedian Uncle Floyd, garage-rock bands The Grip Weeds and The Doughboys, the Above Ground Blues Band, the old-timey group Banjo Doodles, and the station’s own WNTI Band.
