Bobby Bandiera & Friends will present their ninth Hope Concert at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, Dec. 23. It hasn’t been announced exactly who the friends will be, but past Hope concerts have featured artists such as Jon Bon Jovi, Deborah Harry, Gary U.S. Bonds and John Cafferty — all of whom performed last year — as well as Bruce Springsteen, Southside Johnny, the late Ben E. King, Brian Fallon and Nicole Atkins.

The only confirmed act for this year, besides Bandiera himself, is Tim McLoone and the Shirleys, who traditionally open the show. (Nov. 2 Update: Gary U.S. Bonds, Gene Cornish and Franke Previte have now been confirmed as well.)

Tickets, priced from $50 to $500, will benefit the FoodBank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties, as well as the Latino programming and community outreach efforts of Red Bank’s Two River Theater Company.  In addition, $10 from every ticket will go to arts education at Red Bank Middle School.

Tickets go on sale at noon Oct. 7; visit thebasie.org.

Currently, one show is scheduled for 8 p.m. Last year, tickets for an 8 p.m. show initially went on sale as well, but later, a 9:30 p.m. show was added, and the 8 p.m. show moved up to 7 p.m.
