Ringo Starr has scheduled a U.S. tour for October and November, and will be performing twice in New Jersey. The tour will come to the Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown on Nov. 14 before ending at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, Nov. 16. (There is also a show at the Beacon Theatre in New York, Nov. 15).
His All Starr Band will have the same lineup it has had since 2012, with Todd Rundgren, Gregg Rolie (of Santana and Journey), Steve Lukather (of Toto), Richard Page (of Mr. Mister), Warren Ham and Gregg Bissonette.
“The dream is still unfolding,” said Starr, who turns 77 on 7/7/17, in a press release. “I love to play, and I love to play with this band. I can’t say that enough, and we’re on the road again.”
Starr has been touring with different versions of the All Starr Band since 1989; traditionally, everyone performs some of their own hits as well as backing Starr on Beatles songs, as well as material from his solo career.
The tour begins Oct. 13 with eight shows at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.
