Willie Nile will perform in Loveladies on June 22.
The Long Beach Island Foundation of Arts and Sciences’ performance space will host a new singer-songwriter series this summer, with Jeffrey Gaines on June 1, Willie Nile on June 22, and Ben Arnold on June 29.
Matt O’Ree and Eryn Shewell will open for Arnold. There will also be shows in September, to be announced later.
The venue is at 120 Long Beach Boulevard in Loveladies, and tickets are $25 for Gaines or Arnold, $35 for Nile. Visit eventbrite.com.
Nile is planning to release a new album, Positively Bob: Willie Nile Sings Bob Dylan (including songs such as “Blowin’ in the Wind,” “I Want You” and “Every Grain of Sand”), on June 23.
Also on Long Beach Island this summer, there will be plays, as well as some concerts (mostly golden oldies, comedy and cover acts) at the reopened Surflight Theatre in Beach Haven.
