Montclair Jazz Festival announces set times

by JAY LUSTIG

Christian McBride will be one of the performers at this year’s Montclair Jazz Festival.

Christian McBride will perform with his funky A Christian McBride Situation band, and Dee Dee Bridgewater will sing with both her own Memphis Soulphony group and the Jazz House Big Band, at this year’s Montclair Jazz Festival, which takes place Aug. 12 at Nishuane Park.

The free event — also featuring Cyrus Chestnut, Ted Chubb, Louis Prima Jr. and many others — is produced by the Montclair-based educational organization, Jazz House Kids, for which world class bassist McBride serves as artistic chair. His wife, singer Melissa Walker, is its president and founder.

Here are the set times for the event’s two stages. For information, visit montclairjazzfestival.org.
