Doyle rocks Dingbatz (PHOTOS, VIDEOS, SETLIST)

Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein, frontman of the the band Doyle, has perhaps the biggest New Jersey show of his career coming up: He’ll be playing guitar when the legendary punk-rock band The Misfits headlines at Prudential Center in Newark, May 19.

On Feb. 21, though, he brought Doyle to a considerably smaller venue: Dingbatz, in Clifton. There is a photo gallery, a setlist and three videos from the show, below.

Doyle released its second album, Doyle II: As We Die, in June 2017.

The younger brother of Misfits co-founder Jerry Only, Doyle (born Paul Caiafa) was just 12 when the band formed 1977, in Lodi. But he was a member from 1980 to 1983 and from 1995 to 2001, and has been playing guitar at the reunion shows featuring original singer Glenn Danzig that the band has presented occasionally since 2016. Danzig, Doyle and bassist Only have been joined at these shows by drummer Dave Lombardo and guitarist Acey Slade.
