Stephen Colbert will interview three-time Oscar winner (and 21-time nominee) Meryl Streep at a fundraiser for Montclair Film taking place at Prudential Hall at NJPAC in Newark, Dec. 1 at 8 p.m. Tickets will go on sale Sept. 28 at 10 a.m., with various pre-sales beginning Sept. 25 at 10 a.m.; visit ticketmaster.com.
All proceeds will go to Montclair Film, whose next Montclair Film Festival will take place May 3-12. Montclair Film also presents other screenings and programs, year-round.
Colbert, the host of CBS television’s “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” has presented similar Montclair Film benefits in the past, with partners such as Jon Stewart, John Oliver, Steve Carell and Samantha Bee. He is on the advisory board of Montclair Film, and his wife Evelyn is the president of its board of trustees.
The Colberts live in Montclair, and Streep was born in Summit, and grew up in Basking Ridge and Bernardsville.
