Dave Davies, whose guitar playing for The Kinks was one of the most electrifying elements of the original British Invasion, will perform at the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank on April 13, with tickets, priced from $20 to $69, going on sale Nov. 9 at noon.

Davies, 71, performed at the Basie in January of this year, at a tribute to the late Pat DiNizio. In April, according to the Basie’s web site, he “will be celebrating the release of his new album Open Road, recorded with his son Russ Davies, as well as the upcoming film ‘Dave Davies: Strangers’ and a new solo album due for release later in the year. He will perform a set of solo hits and Kinks classics, accompanied by his accomplished band.”

That band includes drummer Dennis Diken of The Smithereens, and bassist David Nolte of The Last.

Davies’ 2019 dates will also include April 9 at the Scottish Rite Auditorium in Collingswood, April 12 at the Society for Ethical Culture in Manhattan, and April 14 at the The Space at Westbury in Westbury, N.Y.
