Bruce Springsteen in “Springsteen on Broadway.”

In an interview on Sirius/XM satellite radio‘s E Street Radio channel this morning, Bruce Springsteen said that he may revisit his recently ended “Springsteen on Broadway” show, or do something like it, at some point further on up the road.

“I’ll probably get back to this or something like it in the future,” said Springsteen, 69, “because it was such an enjoyable format to work in … plus it was an extension of my talents and my abilities to address and communicate with my audience. You know, it was really another way of doing that.

“I think it will be a template, in the future, as a way I’ll be able to communicate, besides the live shows and other things. It’ll find its purpose again, somewhere down the road. And I always did wanna … you know, we talked about taking it to London and some other places, some other cities in the States. And at some point, that would be nice to do.

“But right now, I’m going to go back to my day job, and work on some new music, and some rock music, and see where that takes me.”

Springsteen previously announced that there will be no E Street Band tour in 2019.

Here are links to my reviews of the Broadway show and the Netflix special that was made from it, and that will be available there, indefinitely. [Not a valid template]

I watched the Netflix production of the Broadway show on Wednesday night …ithad been a dream to see him live on Broadway, but this was still a wonderful experience for me. My son, Lt. Michael J. Cleary, was killed in Iraq on December 20th of 2005. I was incredibly sad on Wednesday night… this show, even on TV, had so much raw emotion coming from such an incredible talent. How I admire his ability to express these emotions through song and storytelling. I was able to open myself up, such a difficult thing for me to do… thank you, Bruce.
