Anne Hathaway on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

Appearing on ABC television’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” last night to promote her new movie “Serenity,” Academy Award-winning actress Anne Hathaway was shown one of her early publicity photos, which led to a discussion about her days in the children’s program at the Paper Mill Playhouse in her hometown of Millburn.

She talked about doing adaptations of the Disney movies “The Little Mermaid” and “Aladdin” there. “We would always do a show,” she said, “and then we would come together at the end, and we would quickly put on our purple matching sweatshirts, and we would sing the Paper Mill Playhouse Song.”

Kimmel asked her if she remembered it. “How could I forget? It’s seared in here,” she said, pointing to her head.

She then recited the lyrics, with their accompanying hand gestures and kick line ending. You can watch the segment here:
