Bob Seger has extended what he is calling his Final Tour with his Silver Bullet Band, and the new dates include one in New Jersey. The band will perform at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, June 1.
Tickets go on sale Feb. 22 at 10 a.m., with presales beginning Feb. 19 at 10 a.m., visit Ticketmaster.
Seger, 73, will also perform at the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, N.Y., on May 30.
Seger released his last studio album, I Knew You When, in 2017. “My career is winding down,” he told Rolling Stone magazine in 2011. “What can I say? I can’t do this much longer. My manager is 70. We’ve been together for 45 years now and we need to stop pretty soon and turn it over to the Kid Rocks and Eminems. I guess we’re in the final stages here.”
The tour’s final shows are currently scheduled to take place June 6 and 8 at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Independence Township, Mich. (near Detroit). Seger grew up and had his first success as a musician in the Detroit/Ann Arbor area.
