DHANI HARRISON

Dhani Harrison will open all 20 shows of the North American tour by Jeff Lynne’s ELO this summer, including ones scheduled for the Prudential Center in Newark, July 16, and the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, July 13.

The 40-year-old singer-songwriter, who is the son of the late George Harrison, has released albums with the bands Thenewno2 and Fistful of Mercy, as well as a solo album, In Parallel, which came out in 2017. In addition, he worked with Lynne on the 2002 posthumous George Harrison album, Brainwashed, and recently collaborated with Paul Hicks on the score to the HBO documentary series, “The Case Against Adnan Syed.”

Lynne and George Harrison, of course, were both members of The Traveling Wilburys, and Lynne co-produced George Harrison’s 1987 album Cloud Nine.

The tour begins June 20 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, and ends Aug. 1 at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.
