Chelsea and Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton and her daughter Chelsea will celebrate the release of their new children’s book, “Grandma Gardens,” with a photo opportunity at the Ridgewood YMCA, March 31.

Ridgewood’s Bookends Bookstore is co-sponsoring the event, at which those registering in advance (and buying an unsigned copy of the book) can get their photo taken with the Clintons. According to Bookends, “Photos will be taken on your own device by a Bookends Event Staff Member, so please be sure to bring a charged device to the event, as we will not be able to charge it for you. Wristbands and Books will be distributed at the Ridgewood YMCA to those registered in advance. Please leave all large bags, backpacks, laptop bags/briefcases and luggage at home.”

Illustrated by Carme Lemniscates, the book is about Hillary’s mother Dorothy and her gardens, and is described as “a celebration of family, tradition and discovery, and an ode to mothers, grandmothers and the children they love.”

Space is limited. The event will be at 5 p.m., with doors opening at 3.
