The spring edition of the biannual Exit Zero Jazz Festival in Cape May has been moved from April 17-19 to June 5-7. “Please make sure to follow the recommendations of your public health officials to make sure you can get to Cape May safe and healthy in June,” the festival posted on Facebook.
The lineup is mostly the same as the one that had been lined up for April, though there have been some changes.
The modified lineup includes Sergio Mendes (celebrating the 60th anniversary of bossa nova), the Madeleine Peyroux Trio, the Joey Alexander Trio, Joey DeFrancesco’s Philadelphia Reunion Band (featuring Kevin Eubanks, Lil’ John Roberts and Orrin Evans), the Eddie Palmieri Jazz Sextet, Liv Warfield, the Bill Frisell Trio, Matthew Whitaker, Laurin Talese, Gabrielle Cavassa, Chelsea Reed & the Fairweather Five, Conjunto Philadelphia and others.
As usual, the performances will take place in a variety of concert halls, bars and restaurants throughout Cape May.
The festival has also announced dates for its next two editions: Nov. 6-8 of this year and April 23-25, next year.
