The 31st annual Crawfish Fest, originally scheduled for May 29-31 at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, will move to Aug. 21-23 because of the coronavirus crisis. “The safety of all of us has to be our main focus at this point,” say event organizers on their web site.
The lineup will be similar to the one planned for May, though there will be changes. Tab Benoit and Amanda Fish will not be able to perform, and Christone “Kingfish” Ingram and Southern Avenue will have to shift from Sunday sets to Friday night sets for campers only. “If you bought Sunday tickets to see them, we will work something out for you to see them,” say organizers on the web site.
The lineup now stands at:
Fri., Aug. 21 (for campers only): Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Southern Avenue, Soul Project NOLA.
Sat., Aug. 22: Samantha Fish, Jon Cleary & The Absolute Monster Gentlemen, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Honey Island Swamp Band (two sets), Jonathon Long, Pine Leaf Boys (two sets) Marcella Simien & Her Lovers, Terry & the Zydeco Bad Boys, Big Mamou. For campers only: Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Erica Falls
Sun., Aug. 23: Anders Osborne, Elektric Voodoo, Amanda Shaw, Bonerama, New Orleans Suspects, Ally Venable, Jeffery Broussard & The Creole Cowboys, Soul Project NOLA, Terry & the Zydeco Bad Boys, United by Music.
