James Taylor and Jackson Browne, whose tour together had been scheduled to come to the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel and the BB&T Pavilion in Camden this summer, have postponed the dates, but pledge to reschedule them. (Browne tested positive for the coronavirus last month but has said he has had only mild symptoms and is recovering.)
Taylor said on his web site that he expects new dates to be announced soon, and the two have released this joint statement: “As this summer’s tour of 27 towns and cities across the US drew near, we’ve been increasingly excited to hit the road again. So it’s deeply disappointing for both of us to have to call it off and reschedule (and reschedule we WILL)! As we all now realize, COVID-19 is a serious, real and present danger. Moreover, our public health is all of our responsibility. So let us listen to and follow the directions of our public healthcare people and support their efforts in this unprecedented time of global pandemic. Love those around you and, above all, stay safe and healthy.”
Previously purchased tickets will be honored at the new shows.
(May 20 Update: New dates have been announced, and the Holmdel and Camden shows will be on July 7 and 9, 2021. Click here for Holmdel; the Camden link is not available yet.)
The tour had been scheduled to last from mid-May to mid-July, with the New Jersey shows coming in its last week.
