BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN

Bruce Springsteen, who guest DJ’d on SiriusXM satellite radio’s E Street Radio channel (channel 20) on April 8, will do so again, April 24 at 10 a.m. The one-hour show will also repeat April 24 at 4 p.m. and midnight, April 25 at 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., and April 26 at 9 a.m.

“I will be your DJ for your dancing and listening pleasure,” he says in an ad promoting the show that is currently airing on E Street Radio, and that also features a bit of Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing.”

On the 90-minute April 8 show, Springsteen paid tribute to the late John Prine and also played songs he described as “music for troubled times,” including his own “We Shall Overcome” (featuring his Seeger Sessions Band) and “Cover Me,” Pon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer,” Patti Scialfa’s “Talk to Me Like the Rain,” Lucinda Williams’ “Are You Alright?” and Bob Dylan “Beyond Here Lies Nothin’,” as well as selections by somewhat more surprising artists such as Morrissey, Cracker, Common and Sarah Jarosz.

SiriusXM is usually a paid service but is offering free streaming through May 15. Visit siriusxm.com.
