A concert film by country superstar Garth Brooks, made for the occasion, will screen at more than 300 North American locations on June 27, including two in South Jersey: The Rhythm & Reels Drive-In in Williamstown (Gloucester County) and the Delsea Drive-In in Vineland (Cumberland County).
Other nearby locations include Long Island Adventureland in Farmingdale, N.Y.; the Warwick Drive-In in Warwick, N.Y.; the Fair Oaks Drive-In in Middletown, N.Y.; and Becky’s Drive-In in Walnutport, Pa. The screenings will all start at sundown.
Tickets to all will go on sale June 19 at noon; visit ticketmaster.com.
Brooks said on “Good Morning America” on June 11: “We are excited because this is a reason to get out of the house, but at the same time you get to follow all the COVID rules from every individual state and you get to have fun and stay within the guidelines of social distancing … we’re calling it ‘social distancing partying.’ This should be fun.”
Brooks’ last release was a single, “Dive Bar” (featuring Blake Shelton), which came out last summer and was followed by his Dive Bar Tour (which came to one New Jersey location, Prospectors Grille and Saloon in Mt. Laurel).
He has announced the title (Fun) of his next studio album but has not yet determined the release date.
