The Count Basie Theatre, like many New Jersey theaters, usually throws a gala for itself at some point in the year; proceeds go to its arts, education and multicultural programming. But this year, it has assembled a Gala Week, with concerts by Norah Jones, June 20, and Daryl Hall and John Oates, June 26.
Tickets, priced from $50 to $250 per show, go on sale this Friday at noon through the theater’s web site, countbasietheatre.org, phone charge at (732) 842-9000 and the Basie box at 99 Monmouth St. in Red Bank. Tickets are available for theater members beginning today.
In a press release, Basie president and CEO Adam Philipson called Jones and Hall & Oates “artists that exemplify the spectrum of the Count Basie Theatre’s offerings to the community. The recognition that these artists will bring to our theatre’s community mission is monumental.”
