The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey presented shows on an outdoor stage in Florham Park last year in response to the pandemic. And it will reopen it in late April for its family-friendly, abridged, 70-minute productions of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and “Julius Caesar,” performed by its Shakespeare Live! company.
The Back Yard Stage is in front of the back wall of the theater’s Thomas H. Kean Theatre Factory (used for production and office work), and attendees sit at safe distances from each other on the lawn.
The shows will be on April 24-25 and May 1-2, and children and teens younger than 17 will be admitted free.
Also, the Shakespeare Live! company will perform “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at Bell Works in Holmdel, as part of the Axelrod Performing Arts Center’s outdoor The Bard at Bell Works festival, this month.
Here is the schedule for all the Shakespeare Live! performances
