Many tours are still scheduled to come to amphitheaters such as the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel and the BB&T Pavilion in Camden in the summer of 2021. But in a first, one already has been moved to 2022.
Steely Dan and Steve Winwood, who had been scheduled to play amphitheaters from May to July of this year (after the dates were moved from 2020 because of the pandemic) in a tour titled Earth After Hours, have moved the shows again, to May to July of 2022.
Dates will include the PNC Bank Arts Center on June 30, 2022, as well as the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, N.Y., on June 29, 2022.
Tickets to the original concerts will be honored.
Steely Dan — with their groundbreaking 1970s albums — and Winwood (primarily via his work with the band Traffic in the ’60s and ’70s) are two of the artists most successful at introducing a jazz element into rock ‘n’ roll.
Here is a clip of Steely Dan performing their song “Pretzel Logic” with Winwood in 2019:

I was waiting to buy my tickets for this very reason…. they were scheduled to play Chula Vista amphitheater, a few hundred yards from my house….o well….see you next year!
What is the reason behind this? If it’s the pandemic why wait a year?
I bought 2 tix before COVID, now Steve dumps the tour? OMG, Steve why? I got 2 yrs. waiting and over $800 into tix.
