Normally taking place in packed theaters, bars and restaurants, the Exit Zero Jazz Festival will instead offer music on sprawling lawns and beaches, April 23-25, with artists such as the Madeleine Peyroux Trio, the Joey DeFrancesco Trio and the Robert Glasper Trio.
The biannual festival had to cancel in spring 2020 because of the pandemic, but took place at the Emlen Physick Estate and other outdoor locations in fall 2020. Producer Michael Kline called it “the only live jazz festival in North America in the last six months of 2020,” though the festival is always a mix of jazz, blues, R&B, rock, world music and more. And now it has found a new main venue: the Grand Green space on the grounds of the Cape May-Lewes Ferry in North Cape May.
Here is the complete schedule. For information, visit exitzerojazzfestival.com.
