One of New Jersey’s leading indie-rock bands, Yo La Tengo, will perform in Montclair on May 7, as part of the Montclair Film Festival. But don’t expect to hear any of their most familiar songs. They will be teaming up with Sam Green to perform a “live documentary,” “The Love Song of R. Buckminster Fuller.”
The work, which is about the architect and environmentalist R. Buckminster Fuller, combines film clips with live music by Yo La Tengo, plus live narration from director Green. The event will take place at the Wellmont Theater.
Tickets are $25 or $35; visit montclairfilm.org.
The rest of the festival’s program will be announced April 2, with tickets going on sale April 13 (April 8 for MFF members and sponsors).
