Hoboken’s Mile Square Theatre will begin presenting live performances again for the first time since the pandemic began, with outdoor shows in September and October. These events are being produced with the support of the Hoboken Business Alliance, and will be free to the general public.
From Sept. 16 to Oct. 2, MST will present the manic spoof, “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised],” at the Sinatra Park Amphitheatre.
Also on the schedule for Sept. 25-26 is “En Plein Air,” a weekend of dance, music and spoken word at the 7th and Jackson Plaza. Performers will include Dancers of the MET, musician/storytellers James and Jerome, the On the Waterfront Storytellers and the MST Dance Academy Performance Group.
“Both the HBA and MST see these performances as a celebration of our city returning to the vibrant state it was before the pandemic,” said Mile Square Theatre artistic director Chris O’Connor, in a press release.
