White Eagle Hall, the Jersey City venue that began presenting concerts in 2017, has awarded management, operational and booking responsibilities to the entertainment division of the Prudential Center in Newark.
In a press release, Prudential Center executive vice president of entertainment Sean Saadeh said, “Our foremost goal is to expand and elevate the live event programming; creating efficient and creative synergies and opportunities with Prudential Center. This new relationship with White Eagle Hall further solidifies our commitment to the future of Jersey City and dedication to delivering world-class live events to the State of New Jersey.”
White Eagle Hall has more then 8000 square feet of space and can hold 800 people, standing, or 400, seated. Bands who have performed there since 2017 include The Psychedelic Furs, The Feelies, The Hold Steady, The Bouncing Souls and Guster.
The Jersey City Theater Center will continue to program live theater and other arts events at White Eagle Hall.
Upcoming shows include Yo La Tengo, Sept. 24; Low Cut Connie, Oct. 8; Waxahatchee, Oct. 9; Josie Cotton, Oct. 15; Chris Gethard, Oct. 16; and Spoon, Oct. 24.
