Two pages from one of the scrapbooks kept by Bruce Springsteen’s mother, Adele.

The Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music at Monmouth University in West Long Branch — which launched an online series, “Artifact of the Month,” in September — is devoting this month’s installment to one of Springsteen’s mother Adele’s scrapbooks, showing eight of its pages. Among the items shown are personal letters, backstage passes, newspaper clippings and photos.

You can see the pages at springsteenarchives.org.

A written message on the website reads, in part, “Through the scrapbooks in our collection we not only see Bruce’s career detailed in the media but we also get a glimpse of how his family closely followed his tour and growing success through newspaper headlines and letters that were shared from managers and rock journalists, articles and notes that were shared by family members, images shared by photographers, and concert memorabilia saved by Bruce’s parents.”

Two of the scrapbooks are now on display at the Bruce Springsteen Live! exhibition that is now at the Grammy Museum Experience Prudential Center in Newark.
