Jimmy Iovine was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by Bruce Springsteen.

Bruce Springsteen inducted his old friend Jimmy Iovine into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at this year’s induction ceremony, which took place Nov. 5 at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles. According to multiple reports, he also returned later, with John Mellencamp, the Zac Brown Band and E Street Band keyboardist Roy Bittan, to pay tribute to the late Jerry Lee Lewis by performing Lewis’ hits “Great Balls of Fire” and “High School Confidential.” You can watch it below.

Highlights from the ceremony will air on HBO at 8 p.m. Nov. 19, with a simulcast on SiriusXM satellite radio’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Radio channel (310) and Volume channel (106.) They will also be available for streaming on HBO Max.

Iovine served as the engineer and mixer for Springsteen’s Born to Run and Darkness on the Edge of Town albums, and produced Patti Smith’s hit version of “Because the Night,” which Springsteen co-wrote. Iovine also has worked with John Lennon, Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks and others, and co-founded the Interscope record label.

Springsteen called Iovine his “little brother” and said, “Jimmy knows great songs and he knows who can sing them. He has one of the greatest guts for talent is one of the greatest sponges for learning I’ve ever met. Jimmy misses nothing.”

Lewis died Oct. 28, at the age of 87.

This year’s other inductees included Pat Benatar, Duran Duran, Eminem, Eurythmics, Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie and Carly Simon. Harry Belafonte and Elizabeth Cotton were inducted as early influences; Iovine, Allen Grubman and Sylvia Robinson as non-performers; and Judas Priest and the producing team of Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis received the Award for Musical Excellence.
